Grid view

A quick guide to the grid view

Updated today

Timetoast's Grid view simplifies content management, making it quick to organize and update your timelines.

It functions similarly to a spreadsheet, allowing you to quickly edit individual values, sort entries, and filter data. Grid View is especially useful as a structured overview while enabling precise edits with minimal effort.

You can fine-tune details, or make bulk adjustments, easily in this view.

Adding items in the grid view

In grid view, you have two ways to add items. Either press the 'Add item +' button in to the top right of the screen, or use the quick add button at the bottom of the grid. If using the quick add you'll only need to fill in its first field, whilst the main 'Add item +' button will allow you to enter information for all fields in your project.

Editing items in the grid view

The grid view works a little bit like a spreadsheet so you can directly click on cells to edit their information, or you can click on the triple dot icon in the last column to edit all of your timeline item's information in a popover window.

Other grid features

The grid view allows you to sort and filter items, which can be helpful for narrowing the scope of the information displayed.

You can also add new columns (field) by clicking the '+" button in the last column's header.
