How Unbound projects are structured

A quick overview of projects, fields, items and views in Unbound

Updated today

Unbound projects are timelines created with the new Timetoast editor.

Each project brings together your data and the different ways you can view it.

Projects

A project is the container for everything: items, fields and views. Each project usually represents one timeline, plan or dataset.

Fields

Fields define the kind of information you want to store, such as dates, text, numbers or images. You can think of fields as the columns in a spreadsheet.

Items

Items are the individual entries in your project, like rows in a spreadsheet. Each item has a value for some or all of your fields.

Views

Views control how a project’s items are presented, for example in a timeline or grid. You can switch between views to work with the same data in different ways.
